The role of the Federal Safety Commissioner is to promote and improve occupational health and safety (OHS) in the building and construction industry.
The Australian Government is committed to working with the building and construction industry to improve its OHS performance. As one of the largest purchasers of building and construction work nationally, the Australian Government is committed to being a model client and influencing OHS outcomes for the industry.
The Australian Government Building and Construction OHS Accreditation Scheme thresholds are now $3 million for projects directly funded by the Australian Government.
