2016 OFSC Survey Results Available

The latest Office of the Federal Safety Commissioner (OFSC) Survey results are now available online. In April 2016 the OFSC invited accredited companies to participate in an anonymous online survey about the accreditation Scheme, including costs and benefits, and the performance of the OFSC and its auditors (FSOs). 225 companies (62.7%) participated in the survey. 
Overall the survey results were very positive, with some key results being:
  • 81.5% of accredited companies think workplace safety practices have improved in their organisation as a result of Scheme accreditation
  • Scheme accreditation helped 75% of companies achieve a “whole of organisation” improvement in safety culture
  • 95% believe that the OFSC has contributed to overall safety in the Building and Construction Industry
  • 85% stated that being accredited represented value for money.
