Changes to the Scheme
As part of the implementation of a number of recommendations arising from the 2014 review of the Australian Governments Building and Construction WHS Accreditation Scheme (the Scheme), several administrative changes are scheduled to occur from 1 May 2015, including
- A new application form Revised audit criteria and Improved plain English guidance on the scope and application of the audit criteria.
- All applications submitted for accreditation or reaccreditation after 1 May 2015, will need to be completed using the new application form, either online or via the word version of the application form available at www.fsc.gov.au.
- Applications submitted to the OFSC prior to 1 May 2015 will need to be completed using the existing application form.
The online application form will be available from 1 May 2015. The application form will also be available as a word document and hard copies can be mailed to the OFSC at the address specified on the form available at www.fsc.gov.au The OFSC, in consultation with stakeholders, has undertaken a review of the existing audit criteria. New audit criteria will be released with the introduction of the new on-line application form. Comprehensive guidelines have been prepared to provide a greater understanding of the criteria. The guidelines describe what the criteria mean, what can be provided as evidence of meeting each criterion and most importantly, examples of what won’t satisfy the criteria.
