“I congratulate Watpac Construction and all of the nominees on their work in achieving such outstanding levels of WHS on their projects” said Mr Edwards. “It is encouraging that for Watpac, along with other accredited companies, it is now standard business practice to embed safety considerations in project planning right from the design and throughout the delivery phase. Getting our workers home safely at the end of each day should always be our primary focus”.

The Office of the Federal Safety Commissioner (OFSC) was also represented at the National Conference by Assistant Directors Meredith Robson and Cassie McCall who provided information about the safety and other benefits of accreditation at the OFSC booth.
