Review of the Australian Government Building and Construction OHS Accreditation Scheme
The Government has agreed that the Department of Employment will conduct a review of the Australian Government Building and Construction OHS Accreditation Scheme (the Scheme) in the first half of 2014.
The Department will consult with an advisory panel comprising representatives of key industry associations, unions, Government agencies that fund building works and the Federal Safety Commissioner. The review will consider options to reduce red tape and modernise the Scheme whilst not reducing safety standards.
Building industry participants interested in the review should contact their relevant industry association in the first instance. Other inquiries can be directed to email@example.com.
