FSC Online

There are three key steps that must be followed to obtain the appropriate digital ID permissions. Once these three initial steps are followed, you’ll be able to access FSC Online on an ongoing basis. 

1. You will need to configure a personal myID for yourselves (https://www.myid.gov.au/). You need to achieve a ‘Standard’ identity strength.
2. You will then need your myID to be authorised in RAM (Home | Relationship Authorisation Manager) to connect you to the business or company you work for and authorise full access to all Department of Employment and Workplace Relations Online Services. This access will be provisioned for you by the principal authority for your company - generally the ABN holder, CEO, CFO, Managing Director, etc. There is guidance on how the principal authority can authorise you here - Set up authorisations | Relationship Authorisation Manager.
3. Once your myID and RAM are configured, please request a unique one-time access code from STARhelpdesk@dewr.gov.au. This is the last step to sign in for the first time. 

1. Your Digital ID, myID, needs to be set up to at least a Standard identity strength.   
2. Your myID will then need to be authorised under your employer’s Australian Business Number (ABN) using Relationship Authorisation Manager (RAM).
3. You will then need to link your myID to the accredited company’s Australian Business Number (ABN) using RAM. This process differs depending on your role in the company. how you link depends on your role in the company. If you’re a:  
   1. principal authority (person responsible for the company), you need to link to the company first. Once linked, you can authorize others to access the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations’ services online on behalf of the company.  
   2. authorised user or administrator (someone who acts on behalf of the company), a principal authority or authorisation administrator need to authorise you before you can access the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations’ services online on behalf of the company. 
4. If you are not the principal authority (or authorised user or administrator), you will need this person to authorise your myID with full access to the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations online services using RAM. Currently, a single authorisation for DEWR services will provide access to all DEWR services which require RAM authorisation.    

If you have never used FSC Online before (e.g. new company seeking accreditation or new starter at an accredited company), you may need to register for FSC Online. 

After correctly configuring your myID and being granted RAM access by the responsible principal authority, please attempt to login to FSC Online here.

An OFSC staff member will review your company details and determine if your access to FSC Online is appropriate. You will be notified if your access is approved and be permitted to access FSC Online.

RAM stands for Relationship Authorisation Manager. It's an Australian Government system that's used to manage business authorisations. 

RAM connects you and your personal myID to your company. It allows us to verify who you are and for your company to confirm that it is happy for you to represent it.

It is a matter for each individual businesses to consider how to best administer their RAM authorisations - that is, the people they authorise to represent the company. 

There are different types of authorisations in RAM: 

• Principal authority: the person responsible for the business. This is generally the person who holds a company's ABN. Examples of principle authorities are company directors, CEOs, founders, etc. This person can control all authorisations for a company in RAM.
• Authorised administrator: the principal authority can delegate RAM responsibility to an authorised administrator who can then create and manage authorisations for others in the company. For example, a CEO might make their HSEQ representative an authorised administrator and that staff member can then authorise their team members.
• Authorised user: A standard user who is given authority through RAM to work on behalf of a business. 

Some ABN/ACN holders may wish to retain direct control over this function. Others, who do not have day to day responsibility for the administration of the business, may wish to appoint an Authorisation Administrator to attend to RAM authorisations in the normal course of their duties. 

Each principal authority and company will have their own approach to authorisations and where they're comfortable sharing the authorisation responsibilities. The OFSC does not give advice to companies on how best to manage their RAM authorisations as each company's circumstances are unique. Authorised user access will be sufficient for most individuals accessing FSC Online.

FSC Online is protected by myID, the Australian government’s Digital ID. This system has been implemented as a whole of Government initiative and is standard across the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations online services.

No. Any single RAM authorisation under a company listed within the OFSC’s database linked to your myID will enable access. 

If, as a third party contractor, you represent multiple accredited companies and obtain ABN authorisations for each company, you will be prompted to select which ABN you would like to use to log in during the RAM authentication component of the log-in process. 

If you then need to access a different company’s accreditation profile, you will need to log out and then log in again, selecting the alternative ABN during the RAM authentication component of the log-in process.

If your company has previously accessed FSC Online, they will be able to 'self service' their contacts and add new company staff themselves. To do this, sign into FSC Online as normal and then select the 'contact manager' tab on the home page. 

Please ensure any new staff for your company trying to access FSC Online have established their personal myID and been given appropriate authorisations in RAM.
