Fast-tracked accredited builder works on Aboriginal Elders Village project

The Federal Safety Commissioner’s fast-track accreditation process is helping residential builders meet WHS Accreditation Scheme safety standards quickly and safely.

South Australian builder Fusco Constructions Pty Ltd worked with the OFSC to achieve accreditation in less than half the average time. Fusco are now building the Purrkanaitya Aboriginal Elders Village, funded by Housing Australia.

Our new case study video highlights Fusco’s accreditation journey and collaboration with the OFSC.

As at 31 March 2026, the Federal Safety Commissioner accredited 41 builders through its fast-tracked application process. Under this process eligible builders receive:

  • Prioritised application processing and,
  • Up to 40 hours of assistance from one of the OFSC’s Federal Safety Officers.
